'axe anonymous' killed 'Draka'ar'
Foiled…I have been humbled. I forgot…”no matter how good you are, you can always be taken down like a punk by some bad case of luck that no amount of skill could counter in time.”
Ahh…it was an exciting day. I had been stalking my target, making him paranoid and fearful. No matter which corner he turned, I was there…and so his corpse would have been as well, had it not been for the luck of his dormmates entering the opposite way and spotting me. He was tipped off and I was out of luck. After setting up a grand plan, I went to English class.
...English class ended an hour early. I could hardly believe it – - I GET LUNCH ON THURSDAY?? This is incredible!
Unfortunately…this was where my hubris took me to my untimely end. I got cocky, and walked straight in front of the Douglas windows, flaunting myself and my nigh- invulnerability. Then I saw someone bust out of his room with a water bottle. Kotjan, I figured. I had worked out that he was my assassin…but I did not take time to validate this. I knew I was faster than most, and I used it…I got in the mail room before he got near the door. Hehe…’twas most amusing for me, imagining his thoughts as he realized his target just vanished into thin air.
Though in the end, such arrogance became my ultimate enemy, and my true killer. I knew my game was up…I was far too focused on taking my target than on protecting myself. Imagine my elation when I realized my assassin knew exactly who I am, and he had NO opportunities to even APPROACH taking me down. MWAHAHA! I died on the pointed end of that maniacal laugh.
I had imagined my death most glorious…my greatly capable assassin…plotting for an entire week, finally achieved the set of circumstances he waited for and manipulated. He would have me cornered by my own behaviour, and he would strike…destroying me utterly. I would die, but it would not matter, for it would be a good death.
...no such thing was the case. I went to lunch, full hubris in tow, and I saw Kotjan talking with Gordie. Well…Gordie wasn’t in the game, he couldn’t possibly be suspicious; I memorized everyone who is in the game! They noticed me and bolted toward me, ha…I could turn and evade, Gordie would catch up to me, but there’s no way he could hold me long enough for Kotjan to drench me. Then, the one thing I did not anticipate occurred…GORDIE SHOT ME?? Wait a second…”Gordon Tate.” I don’t know his last name…CRAP! That’s the missing link. It was HIM! He killed Kotjan and I became his next mark. I should never assume, but I do anyway! He wasn’t even stalking me…he was just…there.
Still…an opportunity is an opportunity. Were I in the same position, I would have taken the exact same action. Kudos on the kill, you took the opening and that is always what must be done.
Still…I stab at thee from beyond the grave. You shall NEVER touch my target tomorrow! You shall fail in taking this elusive shadow, and I shall ensure it!
(NOTE: I did turn up the dramatics…but I’m just having fun; I’m really tired and excitable. Hehe.)
Primary objective failed. Mission: Failed. Operative: Neutralized.
Re- assignment: Protect previous target from assassination.

This mark started out more interestingly than the first…I commend his ability to remain aloof, even when my luck seems to gain momentum. I decided to stake out certain places last night. Lo and behold, he came in one of them! He left…I waited until it didn’t seem suspicious, then I pursued. Two FOOLS searching for their targets got in my way…they weren’t even acting as bodyguards. By the time I got out the doors, he was gone. I began to boldly search dorms, braving danger and enduring attempts to flush me out. Oh, and I do believe I ran into MY assassin on that trek. Hehe…nice try, but I’m not going out into the lounge so unprepared.
This day, I started out with much information concerning the mark…EXCEPT his schedule! I had to rely on chance sightings. It was just about five…I checked out the atrium…I could hardly believe my eyes! There he was yet again! I could NOT miss this second opportunity. To redeem myself, I went the entire way to appear as inconspicuous as possible. I camped that spot for about ten minutes, and then…he left. As he was leaving, I feinted and appeared to be reaching for some food, the instant he touched the door, my hand slipped down from the edible goodness to the watery death I bring!
There was no escape…no notice. There was only swift death. My shadow descended upon him…he perished beside his astonished friend. Alas, my worthy friend, you were good, you were full of life. But the present is what matters…and you are presently dead.
Mission: successful. Primary objective complete. Target: neutralized.

'Draka'ar' killed 'ken'
The day went by interestingly enough…I woke to the predatory exhilaration of an impending corpse at my feet. I had accumulated the details from my sources…I knew everything about my mark: his face, what he wears, what classes he has and when…EVERYTHING. I anticipated and expected everything. Everything except this…his 8:00am class was cancelled! I met with my contact and we debriefed this scenario, and the wheels in my head began to turn again.
He had a 2:45 class…I had a 2:35 class. I had hoped to catch the mark while I was walking to class. No such luck. So, after my class, I saw the atrium…the atrium and its many windows. Its many windows that overlook the mass of portables…where the mark’s last class was! I camped there for quite a while…I seemed to miss him, as I was rather tired and I knew that would impair my abilities. But this time…I did get lucky; I saw him coming out of Douglas…STRAIGHT TOWARD ME. Maybe he was tipped off…I don’t know, but it is more likely I got overzealous. As I whipped off the cap on my water bottle, he stared straight at me in surprise, then bolted for Douglas. I can easily outrun him, but he was too far away. I cautiously followed into the lower lounge, but he was gone. I quickly scoped the place out, then left…as I didn’t want to be so vulnerable for very long.
I headed into the mail room…and saw a window looking directly at the entrance to Douglas. Oh, my poor, poor mark…you should have come out a different door. I figured…well, he has to eat sometime, and would be back out shortly. It probably wasn’t for food, as he headed back to the portables with a book, but it sufficed just as well. I waited until he got a significant distance away so he wouldn’t head me whip the door open, then I ran stealthily toward him. As soon as I ascertained his low level of awareness, I broke out into a run. I sidled up beside him and delivered the single death blow. I then retreated to the shadows of my solitude…my dorm room.
Primary objective complete. Mission successful: target neutralized.

After a highly paranoid walk across the courtyard to the mailroom, I entered talking about my next target and who could guess! He was right there !! I quickly shut up and went and checked my mail, casually talking with my friend on a different topic. He seemed wary, looking out the window, and eventually he exited the door to his Douglas North dorm. I waited too long, not wanting him to spot me and he got away into his dorm, so I decided to stake the place out for a bit, see what would happen. Luck stroke again, he came out for lunch, walking to the caf looking every which way. I waited till he was a good distance away and began my approach, slow at first, then sprinting until I caught him with a good dose of H2O.
